Hi, I'm Mykaela.
I am a documentary style photographer in East Texas. I fell in love with photography after I commandeered my husband's camera while on vacation in Colorado and haven't looked back. For the last four years I have been taking photos of couples, seniors, and some lovely expectant mamas. I love capturing real movement, genuine laughter, and the small details that turn moments into memories.
I have been married for four years to my best friend, and second shooter, Josh. Together, we enjoy reading, writing, and pretty much any outdoor activity (but especially camping)! I'm a home-body who loves to go on adventures as long as I can come back to my own bed at the end of the day. I love Jesus with all of my heart and strive everyday to show His love to the world through my words and actions.
My photography style is bright and happy, filled with lots of movement and real moments. During your session, I strive to make you feel comfortable in front of the camera, because everyone deserves to feel confidant in their own skin. I may ask you to run through a field of wildflowers with wild abandon, but just know that it's so I can capture the very essence of who you are.
